...ahem.

Had I waited until tomorrow it would have been twenty days since my last post.

Question:
(just real quick...)
How can twenty days feel like five?
--------------------
I took a public speaking course in college.
It was great. Forever changed the way I listen to any kind of public address.
I was also a couple months pregnant with Robyn at the time.
And conveniently, when I'm with child if I get even a wee little bit embarrassed, I turn bright red.

(Think cherry tomatoes.)

So fast forward just a little over three years...
(and there's how twenty days can feel like five.)

...and today
I happily discovered that Robyn inherited none of my trepidation about public speaking.
Today she gave her first talk in primary.
(It was fantastic.)

And it was on prophets. And she even pronounced the word dispensation with no hesitation.
Oh heavens...
I was a proud mama.

(Perfectly squeezable.)

Afterwards
Erik and I toddled off to Sunday School and Relief Society-
where I had some public speaking of my own.
He did his best distraction impersonation.
And when it got really quiet, he rustled his snack pack.
And threw his transformer across the bench.
--------------------
It was a good day.

  4. Go Robyn! Bauer has still only done prayers, but that's probably because the primary leaders don't trust what he would say if he did give a talk...

And 20 days is WAY too long an absence in the blogging world! :)

  5. that is great! I still can't get zac to utter more than a potty word or two toward the crowd. Not sure if he's afraid of public speaking or overly confident...
