We took a stroll today and passed at least three blossomy bushes, all of which smelled divine. Louisiana offers an amazing April.
Of course... the bees think so too. Yesterday at the park, we discovered a couple of yellow jackets. (Both were larger than life itself.) I contemplated swatting them- but decided against it. I was lacking adequate equipment. (No tennis racket.) Lucky bees.
When they flew off my children screamed a chorus of pure terror. Enriqueboy ran for the hills, and Robs sat there frozen in time. The pirates have taken my strong feelings towards bugs- and created something new... something bigger... something better than before.
There's hope though. Because Louisiana has made me a stronger woman. Yesterday when I discovered the black lizard hiding under my refrigerator. I only gave into a quick squeal and then put a bowl on him, and transported the devil outside. (I won't admit how much time passed between his capture or release.) But the deed was done before Steve got home. And I washed the bowl more than twice.
See. Much stronger.
