fifty degrees

Yesterday was our first cooler day. It was delightful, and I was freezing. I think the lowest it ever got was somewhere in the fifties - but that was cold enough for us. Squísh has been dreaming of snow for weeks but as of yesterday she changed her mind. It was almost ten o' clock and we were still in flannel pajamas. "Mom?" she said, "Remember when it was so warrrrrm? That was nice." I had to laugh a bit - cause two weeks ago she was moaning the I-need-a-popsicle-blues.

The idea of winter is causing me angst. I'm not ready for it to be cold. I'm not ready to be inside for most of the day. And I still have a warm weather bucket list. There's things I still need to do...
(It's a first world problem.)

  1. I am feeling the same way about winter! I seriously can't think about it too much or I just might cry or have a panic attack! (And my kids hate when I tell them their problems are first world problems!) And that Em is a doll.
