7 + 7 = 14

Why must everything be busy? Why is "success" so tied to "busyness?" And why have I wasted so much time looking at other people's lives?

Just this afternoon I took a minute and looked at Instagram. I clicked on a picture of a face I recognized. And then two pictures later I clicked on another face I'd seen before, and before I knew it, I was six or seven clicks into a never ending circle of selfies - all promoting the other person as:
"So great, check her out!"
"So busy! But she does it all!"
"Queen of de Nile!"

Or is it Queen of Denial? I'm tired of it all. I don't want that influence in my life any longer. I'm done giving myself such a narrow definition of success, and then letting it constantly hover.
That bandwagon of being able to do it all? That idea of having it all? And all at once? Perhaps it does happen for others, but for me it's an illusion. It's as real as a square, cropped photo with a filter. Or a fleeting sentiment buried within minutes.
I am who I am. I am fiercely opinionated. I push two babies in a double jogger. I dedicate most of my days to the four pirates I chose to have. I am happily human and I don't do it all.
