Last Day of Fall Break!

Up until last year Fall Break was something I'd never even heard of. (Fall Break? Didn't we just start school?) I saw it on the calendar and didn't give it much thought - so it was a pleasant little surprise. But this year I put it in our calendar, two months before it was even scheduled to happen. I love Fall Break!

Steve and I decided to stay close to home, just in case Washington D.C. decided to make peace. But we filled our days with hiking, and biking, and scootering, and ice cream shops, and picking pumpkins, and impromptu talent shows... Lots of little fun. (And Hi!... Little fun adds up to big fun.)

But yesterday was our last day and it was supposed to be rainy and chilly. So we planned a museum... but brought our scooters just in case it was beautiful. Which I'm so glad we did, because it was! We scootered around the paved canyon trails, threw rocks in the river, saw gorgeous Fall color and we got to see real dinosaur bones. (Squísh found a giant lizard looking one and said it looked like a puppy.)

Happy Fall Break!
