Read it.

For Christmas I got Squish a book about herself. It's her favorite and we read it several times a day. My other two pirates love it as well... and as of this morning Erikboy had it almost entirely memorized. They ask questions. They look at the pictures over and over. And every couple of times we read it they'll remember tidbits from their past. I love having a piece of their history in book form. ...and I think it's pretty important they know they're loved from the start.
