Odds.

I pass this house every day.
On the inside it has all kinds of charm: wood floors, arched doorways, crown molding...
None of it is new- which means in Louisiana, it's a complete fixer-upper.
(I took a peek inside.)

But it got me daydreaming.
One day I'd love to own a little fixer upper myself.
I love how they're so unassuming on the outside,
and then after they're done, so shimmery on the inside.

But as I stopped to take a picture, a car came up behind me.
I moved my stroller to the side, and the car pulled into the driveway.

The house has been vacant for weeks.

What are the odds?
That on a random morning,
I decide to take a random photo,
of a random house,
and at the precise moment,
the future owner of the place decides to show up.

Do things like this happen to you?
Have you ever seen The Truman Show

Perhaps I am Truman.

  1. i think i am truman all the time. in fact, i was just self-absorbed enough, to believe they stole that idea from my life. cause i was sure that my dolls even came to life and "fell out of character" when i left the room. ;)
