Oh heavens.
Today was beautiful.
So I did it.
I took all three out on the town.
We headed to the Bayou.
To see if anything had changed since our last visit.
And it had! (Not only did I have this adorable wee babe...)
The grumpy catfish that use to bully all the other fish- was gone.
(We liked him.)
The American Alligators were still there.
(Attempting their winter tan with some faux sun.)
And the elusive pancake flat turtle stuck his head out for us.
A rare, and special treat.
We discovered there's something called a Stinkbush.
And even better, but not pictured above, is the Titi tree (pronounced tee-tee...).
(Dear Southerners, Is this a joke?)
We saw a train...
It was loud- and Erik thoroughly enjoyed it.
And then we added some water...
It's not just the south that has weird names for stuff. Check our this mini deer in Africa: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dik-dik
