Drumroll please...

But first... a recap.
Of perhaps the most event full week of my life...

Monday: Relatively normal. (Of course that all depends on what you consider to be normal.) We played at the park and made pipe-cleaner flowers for Grandpa. It was wonderful.

Tuesday: (Remember that drumroll please?... insert it here.) We got a JOB OFFER.
While sitting down to a lunch of chicken nuggets with Robyn. It was wonderfully memorable.

Wednesday: Steve's brother came to visit- bringing with him his wife, his son, and his daughter. (the only other girl cousin we have on this side of the family.)
Robyn is beside herself with what to do first: Mermaids? Princess? Hair bows? ...the options are limitless.

Thursday: We decided to take the job. ...and everything fell into place. Literally. (Amanda... this is why I didn't call-I'm oh-so sorry!) The details? We'll be working for the Federal Government, (Department of Labor), in the very most northern part of Louisiana.
Friday: I woke up bright and early... forgot it was Steve's birthday... and then went back to bed while he watched the children. (He's literally that wonderful.) Of course, when I woke up again... I wished him Happy Birthday a zillion times.

Normally... any kind of week like this would end right there with a giant party.

I'd make a banner... we'd have cake.

But this is not any old week.

So instead we packed the car... packed our suitcases... and headed up to Logan for the...

Saturday: ... Top of Utah Marathon.
Where I got up nice and early (4:17am)... rode on a crowded bus up a canyon... and then ran 26.2 miles down to the finish line.

In 3 hours and 37 minutes...

...which means we'll be going to Boston. (In April.)

Sunday: I took a nap.

  1. Christine! Congratulations!

Government jobs bring so much security... I'm so happy for you guys. And Louisianna is one of my most favorite places on Earth. Really. I think Baton Rouge is my second most favorite city, first is in Austria. But LA is just wonderful. Green, traditional, just lovely. :)

And I think your hair looks fantastic! It just fits you perfectly.

So you qualified for the Boston marathon?! My goodness. The possibilites really are limitless, eh?

    Congratulations!
