This morning was slightly chilly and a little rainy.
I ran past a little old man who was riding his bike.
He was wearing an oxford shirt and a blazer. Both of them were nice- neither of them matched.
But his face was genuinely sweet.
He had a mini American flag sticking up from the back of his bike and a little bike horn on the front.
I liked him immediately,
so I smiled and waved.
He did the same and then honked his little bike horn- politely, of course.
And as I passed he said,
"Keep On."
It was touching.
I've decided that when I am old, I will do similar.
Because I love seeing friendly faces, and hearing things like "Keep On" from perfect strangers.
It puts things in perspective.
I wish I could be one of those super nice people, but I just feel like I'm too cynical and rude!
