Reno: a verse

I signed a binding document,
with signature and date.
An agreement 'tween myself and I
to ne'er again renovate.

Future homes, if there are any,
will be a complete turn-key.
The home will be done and beautiful,
by somebody other than me.

My pirates?  They're actually
coping well.  It's me I'm worried about.
It's all so much. So many options!
Endless tile and grout.

Not to mention fancy paint sprayers,
 spackle, scrapers and drills.
I'm ready again for the plain white walls,
a home with zero frills.

But who am I kidding... I've dreamt of this!
We've rented for how many years?
Done with the sob and back to the grateful...
...time to "demo" the "reno" fears.

  1. Love it!! ...Except for the hard work part :) I can imagine the decision making being sooo difficult with so many options!
But if it helps at all, I know whatever you choose will be spectacular - you have such a knack at turning dull into stunning :) And it will be so nice when it's finished and feels even more like 'yours' in every sense.
Congrats again, and we can't wait to see it someday soon! Love you!!
