This evening Robs, Erik and I went for a bike ride.
We turned a corner and cruised the cul-de-sac.
And then I realized something...
Before I was a mother, I would notice mismatched outfits on sweet li'l things,
and think to my haughty little self,
"What were their parents thinking?"
Fast forward to this evening.
Please press pause when you get to the cul-de-sac.
I know what their parents were thinking.
They had most likely let the children play in the hose on the trampoline in the backyard-
and then most likely let them dress themselves afterwards.
And they'd most likely decided to skip the time it takes to get re-dressed in clothes that match, and go for the bike ride instead.
And they most likely knew their kids looked like leprechauns,
but chose to roll with it.
And then they most likely stopped at the park on the way home.
And they most likely loved it all.
I love your posts! You said this perfectly...I remember back in the day thinking my kids would never be the ones wearing the huge pink tutu and bedtime slippers to the grocery store. Shay wore just that to the store this week...and she wore it well I might add :)
