Erik asks for a backyard on a regular basis.

So to avoid further questioning

I tell him those are currently out of stock right now

but would he be interested in purchasing a

10 x 10 cement patio?

Because we have one of those.

He gives me this look and starts moving towards the door.

Two year olds are tough customers.

I remind him that

from our patio

he can see bulldozers and tractors to the left

hard at work.

And if he times it right

(approximately 9:21am and 12:50ish)

looking the other way gives him a great view of a freight train

with a green and white diagonally

striped engine.

Luckily for me, this little man loves large trucks...

But the cherry on top?

Twice a week he doesn't even have to turn his head.

Staring straight ahead he's got a front row seat

to a first class show.

The trash truck comes, and tosses around three huge dumpsters.

And then honks and waves as he leaves because no one can resist Erik.

It's that winning smile.
